Introduction
Armed with a powerful combination of fundamental cell and molecular biology and applied science, postraduates from K.N.I. are well placed to take up careers in plant, animal or microbial biotechnology laboratories or in horticulture, food science, commerce and teaching.
Some major organizations employing biotechnologistists in India include Hindustan Lever Ltd, Thapar Group, Indo-American Hybrid seeds, Bincon India Ltd, Bivcol, IDPL, India Vaccines Corporations, Hindustan Antibiotics, National Botanical Institute, National Chemical Laboratories, Tata Engineering Research Institute etc.
As there is increasing popularity and explosive growth, there is plenty of opportunities available in Biotechnology field. You can be a Research Scientist, Marketing manager, Science Writer, Bioinformists, Quality Control Officer or Production in-charge industry, Analyst (Venture-Capitalist) Environmental / Safety Specialist.
If you are interested in Research and Development, then becoming a Research Associate can provide an interesting career that allows you to carry out experiments under the instruction of established Scientist. Course Highlight
We use a variety of teaching and learning methods, including lectures, tutorials, lab sessions, group exercises and online resources. In the lecture and tutorial sessions, you will cover theoretical and fundamental principles, while in the lab sessions and exercise, you put your computing skills to practice. Assignments and project allow you to work on substantial problems of programming, designing and problem-solving, either individually or or withing a team.
This course will be delivered through lectures, laboratory classes, demonstrations, computer packages, and project work. We have state-of-art lecture, computing, library and laboratory facilities.
There will be various support mechanisms to help and advice you, including dedicated and experienced faculty, members and industry experts.
